Christmas Cookies
Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Method
1 Preheat the oven to 200°C (gas mk 6, 400°F). Mix all the ingredients, except the cocoa, into a smooth dough either by hand or with a food processor.

2 Split the dough in half, and add the cocoa to one half. Knead it until the cocoa is completely mixed in.

3 Using the two doughs, make up different patterns and lay the cookies on a baking sheet.

4 Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes, then remove from the baking sheet and cool on wire racks.


To make the spirals pictured, roll out a thin layer of each mix, lay one on the other, and roll into a cylinder. Slice the roll into pieces.
