This recipe is suitable from 4 months.

1. Peel and finely chop the small apple, apricot and fig.

2. Boil the oats, with 5 tablespoons of water and simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Add the chopped fruit with the sultanas and a pinch of cinnamon.

4. Bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

5. Puree by pushing through a sieve or by using a blender.

6. Add extra water, to correct consistency, if necessary.


General Advice for from 4 months recipes :
  • All foods at this stage must be a smooth puree.
  • The key to good weaning is to keep it simple, using few ingredient combinations.
  • This helps in finding out what your baby likes and whether he or she may be allergic to particular ingredients.
  • Organically grown ingredients are best if you can get them. Your local supermarket should be able to supply a good range of organic produce.
  • When making your own food, DO NOT ADD ANY SUGAR OR SALT AT ANY STAGE.

    1/2 small Apple
    1 Fresh Apricot
    (or 4 dried apricots)
    1/2 Dried Fig
    3/4 tablespoon Oats
    3/4 tablespoon Sultanas
    pinch Ground Cinnamon
