Banana and Mango Coulis

This recipe is suitable from 7 months.

1)
Bring the water to the boil in a small pan. Add the rice, cover and simmer very gently for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Remove from heat and set aside to cool to just above room temperature.
2) Puree the mango and half of the banana in a liquidizer, or by pushing it through a sieve.
3) Combine the puree with the rice and serve with the remaining banana pieces.



Suitable for those intolerant to gluten, milk and lactose and suitable for vegetarians.

General Advice for from 7 months recipes:

At the second stage, your home made foods should be thicker than previously.

Start to introduce small lumps of food to encourage your baby to begin chewing.

Increase the amount of food your baby eats and begin to add more variety into your baby’s diet.

Your baby should be eating three meals a day.

By 9 months your baby should be eating some finger foods, such as slices of wholemeal bread, breadsticks, and sliced fingers of fruit or raw vegetables.

Organically grown ingredients are best if you can get them. Your local supermarket should be able to supply a good range of organic produce.

75 ml Water
